The aim of this unit is to develop the knowledge and understanding to publish, integrate and share using social media. Participants will be able to identify the main networks and their features used in social media and why they would be used. Participants will also explore the risks and benefits of networking on social media for an organisation.

Overview of Training

The aim of this unit is to develop the knowledge and understanding to publish, integrate and share using social media. Participants will be able to identify the main networks and their features used in social media and why they would be used. Participants will also explore the risks and benefits of networking on social media for an organisation.

  • Understanding of how social media is used by individuals, organisations/businesses, governments and social groups
  • Understanding of best practice for safe social networking
  • Understanding the need for safety and security practices

Participants will gain the basic skills and understanding to publish and share information via social networks which could be an introduction in to a career within the digital marketing sector.

How will I learn?

Independent online learning with support from the course facilitator as required via on-line portal, e-mail or telephone.

Participants must have computer and internet access, course must be completed within eight weeks of start date (they must work through an on-line workbook and submit all answers within 8 weeks).
