This course is specifically aimed at potential candidates who are already practising and experienced electricians with existing and specific qualifications in electrical work, who now need to update their certification to meet the latest edition of the IET Wiring Regulations. Alternatively, the course is also suited to newly qualified electricians who needs to gain this certificate, or those that have been out of the industry for a while and wish to return.

The IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) are the definitive standards for the electrical industry in respect of safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems. They set the requirements and operating criteria for the UK and correspond to EC standards and are recognised by the British Standards Institute as a British Standard (BS 7671).

It is intended to ensure that individuals are conversant with the format, content and application of the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671:2018.

To deliver a refresher on some common regulations and highlight the main changes to BS7671 2018.

During the study, learners will focus on meeting the standards of the latest IET Wiring Regulations, including, essential aspects of the safety, selection and erection of electrical equipment Inspection and testing.

Upon completion of the course/gaining this qualification, learners can move directly into paid employment or progress into a higher paid work.

The qualification develops skills and knowledge of learners to a high standard which is highly recognised by the industry.
