28 JUNE - 16 JULY 2021
Speakers for Schools, a national education charity with a focus on social mobility, has been appointed by Leeds City Region LEP to deliver a two-week Virtual Insight Festival for young people, aged 14-19, who have missed out this year on experiences of work and industry.
The Festival of Insight Days will shine a light on key employers and growth sectors for the region, including Digital and Creative, Health Tech, Construction, Manufacturing and Engineering. Employers of all sizes will deliver meaningful and interactive Insight Days which include employability workshops and employer led tasks. A SEND specific Insight Day is planned for Wednesday 14th July
Individual pupils: Students can apply to Insight Days that fit with their personal aspirations via the Experience Portal. The process of an individual application is a valuable step of the process. Teachers will need to first register their school with Speakers for Schools, https://www.s4snextgen.org/Sign-Up/Schools and Students also need to register: https://www.s4snextgen.org/students/Take-Part.
Teacher bookings for groups: Following feedback and consultation the Festival Virtual Insight Days will also be available for group / multiple places registrations using a simple on-line form (https://forms.office.com/r/km8XXjAdvW).
